Membership Information

The Michigan-Ohio Briard Club offers two main types of membership:

  • Regular Membership - Persons eighteen (18) years and older who have voting rights in all club meetings and elections. Annual dues are $15.00 for individual membership or $20.00 for two members who reside in the same household.
  • Junior Membership - Persons over eight (8) and under eighteen (18) years of age. Junior members do not have voting rights and cannot hold an office in the club. No annual dues are charged.
  • Membership is open to all who share our appreciation of the Briard, and neither Briard nor dog ownership is required.

    Application Information

Applicants must complete a membership application which will be read at the first meeting of the club following its receipt. At the subsequent meeting, the application will be voted upon by a secret ballot. Affirmative votes of three-fourths (3/4) of the voting members present at that meeting shall be required to approve the applicant(s). The applicant(s) will be notified of the vote and those approved will receive copies of a current membership roster and meeting minutes.

While most of our members reside in either Michigan or Ohio, we do have members living in New York, North Carolina, Missouri, and Florida.

For those individuals interested in MOBC membership, please complete our membership application and mail it to our membership chair, following instructions on the application.
